Cloud computing is the on-demand delivery of IT resources over the Internet with pay-as-you-go pricing. Instead of buying, owning, and maintaining physical data centers and servers, technology services, such as computing power, storage, and databases, on an as-needed basis from a cloud provider can be accessed. Cloud computing benefits include agility, elasticity, cost savings, quick deployment. The public cloud lets customers gain new capabilities without investing in new hardware or software. Instead, they pay their cloud provider a subscription fee or pay for only the resources they use. In this talk, basics of cloud computing with case studies of Azure and AWS will be discussed.
