List of Major Projects for Final Year B.E. Students which can be done under CoE-IIoT:

  1. IoT Enabled Predictive Maintenance Analysis for Electric Motor.

Description: The project is aimed at utilizing the features of Industrial IoT for predictive Maintenance Analysis for Electric Machines e.g. Electric Motor.  The expected outcome is to keep measuring the different electrical and mechanical parameters from motor, store the data in cloud and then using machine learning predict when the motor may require maintenance or it may fail.

2. Smart City Dustbin Management System

Description: The project is aimed at managing the multiple dustbins put across the city. Based on the filling level of dustbins, the route map should be generated for pickup van and there should be real time update of filling levels of bins and their pickup management.  

3. Commercial RGBWW Lighting control system (Receiver) Design based on DMX 512 Protocol.

4. Multi liquid option user selectable Vending Machine System design with on board display. The user should be able to select the quantity of drink through an interface. The drink will be prepared in the machine and dispensing should be done. The machine should work based on authentication system.

5. A geofenced Attendance Management System using a Mobile APP with LIVE Tracking within the Geofenced Area using Phone Location (Permission Based) . It should also capture the attendance for the classroom level.

6. An IoT Enabled prototype of a Bottle crusher machine where you can put the plastic bottles/waste and it will crush it and give you some reward coupons /cashback. The machine should be IoT enabled to monitor it in live and it should be able to differentiate between metal and plastic.  It should also maintain the user profile and should be able to generate the reports on water crushed by a particular user.

7. Design of an automatic home vacuum cleaning robot which can vacuum dust and can be able to differentiate between dust and any hazardous item put on floor. It should be battery powered.

8. Design of a DGPS based Level Measurement system for a crop field. The DGPS receiver should be put on a offroad vehicle and it will display onboard the level measurement data.

9. A Li Ion battery safety system in which a battery can be connected before using and it should inform that whether it is safe to be used or not based on the parameters of battery. It should also maintain the report of each battery being tested.

10. A musical chandeliers design which shall be fit on a motor and it should do vertical motion also based on the beats of music. The chandelier should have RGBW LEDs to generate the Lighting pattern and can be controlled over BLE.

11. RF Based Keyless Entry module for 2 Wheelers. The module should be able to work on KEELOQ Protocol and can immobilize the vehicle. It should be able to detect between Fake and Real Key.

12. IoT Based Grid Management System. The System should be able to manage the real time load on grid and efficiently manage the load dispatcher. The management should be done remotely over cloud. It should be able to handle real time rules and accordingly can manage the loads.

13. Design of a low power and local communication-based body wearable environment quality monitoring system and should be able to communicate in real time about the environmental safety.

14. Design of a Computer Vision based System to differentiate between the various materials used in road construction through a camera and inform to the system. It should also be able to differentiate between the size of stone chips.

15. Design of an unmanned weighing scale gate management system. As the truck comes in for weighing, it should be opening the gates with proper position of truck indication and later can read the data from truck over serial communication link.

16. Design of a battery powered camera with GPS System. The camera should be IoT enabled to send the data over network to update the route being taken by the vehicle. If there is deviation from the route defined, it should raise an alarm on the administrator side.

17. Design of a system for elderly people which prevent /warn them from falling. If they fall then, it should start the emergency rescue and response system.

18. Design of a wearable system for patients which can enable them to call for help / demand of a particular need based on hand movement. By the motion of hand gesture, they should be able to talk about the need to the nursing staff.

19. A BLE Enabled Advertising packet system which will keep transmitting a particular information over BLE and on a mobile phone APP we can read the data packets and should be able to search also a particular data stream.

20. Design of a secure key management for all the personal gazette. The secure key protocol should enable the devices to operate based on authentication only from another device. All the devices connected over PAN should be able to connect securely and seamlessly with each other and can transmit secure file with encryptions.
